Chile Vacation!!!
From Chile |
- Hiking up Cerro San Cristobal near downtown Santiago
- Finding the memorial marker for Omner Pratt, Parley P. Pratt’s infant son who died while he was there as missionaries in 1851
- Eating Berlines (pastries) in San Bernardo like I used to do as a missionary
- Relaxing in the shade reading the Bourne series in various parks and cities (Britney: Bourne Ultimatum, me: Bourne Supremacy)
- Eating excellent Chilean Empanadas
- Finding old friends and reconnecting with them finally
- Getting a chaco tan
- Taking Britney through the beautiful countryside
- Seeing how much had changed and how much was still the same
It was hard to leave Chile again, especially when the weather was so nice and we were returning to frozen Boston. I don’t know if I will make it back again, now that we are starting a family, but it was amazing to get to go back even though it wasn’t as long as I would have liked to be there. I loved every minute of it! I think Britney even enjoyed it even though she didn’t understand a lot. She was a very good sport about it.
