This last weekend, my parents came into town and we headed up to New Hampshire for a half marathon. I've done the race once, and Erik did it last year. Somehow we convinced my dad to do it this year too...his first big race! It's a hard course, but it is gorgeous. During at least half of the race you have a direct view of Lake Winnipesaukee. Sadly, it rained a LOT during the race so both guys got really cold afterwards, but I think they both had a good time! Mom and I followed in the car with Ava (who was a great sport to be cooped up in her carseat so much of the weekend) and tried to take pictures along the way. A few highlights:
- Mom trying to convince me to drive around the police car who had his lights on and was trying to slow traffic so that we could catch up and see my dad
- Erik coming in at mile 11 and me realizing he was going to break his PR!
- Seeing a bunch of old singles ward friends
- Heading to Newburyport after for some yummy chocolate and lunch!
- Erik finishing in 1:19:05! (6 min miles!)
- Dad finishing in 1:58! (9 min miles!)

Well done gentleman! You should have gotten a better video of Scott though. He's being passed! I've been there at the end of a half marathon and it's not fun! Well done Erik and Scott!
