seriously...

...my child hasn't slept past 7:00am in weeks. what is up?! most days it's been like 6:45am but the past three it's been 6:15am or earlier. what gives, ava, really. the sun is just barely creeping up...can't you just sleep a bit longer?

i guess the positive side is that we don't have to set an alarm...

...i need to get to bed earlier.....

  1. It only goes downhill from there. No matter what time we put our three kids down, at least one of the is awake by 6:15 (if not earlier) in the morning.

  2. I've been waking up before 7am for the last 6 years. Have fun with that.

  4. I am with the Brandt, only some days it is worse. Braden typically wakes up around 6am, but this week he woke up twice at 4am and refused to go back to sleep. Last summer he woke up everyday at 5:30am. The hard part is Alex doesn't get home from work until 10:30pm 2-3 nights a week, so I stay up late to see him, and wake up early to be with Braden. I think being tired just comes with the job! I will be thinking of you in those early mornings. Good luck!

  6. Well, I don't have kids but my husband is a morning person and likes, (yes, likes) to get up at 5:30. For the life of me I can't sleep after he's up even though he tries so darn hard to be quite. I think I'm just seriously irritated each morning that I'm being woken up and it makes me too mad to go back to sleep. So, I've resigned myself to getting up that early as well and heading in to the gym at my office. Yep, I'm running again. Overall its a good healthy thing, but I don't start to feel good about it until I've had my run. And even then I only feel good because I give myself cool points every time I run. I guess I wouldn't be able to do this with kids.... :-)

  7. I'm up at 5:20am every morning to pump milk (he does not like to breastfeed)for my boy who starts stirring at 5:30...I try to get him to sleep till 6 or later, but he's way over it by 6:20 normally -- can't wait for rice cereal! I hear they sleep longer with a fuller belly :) Good luck with Ava, ...I personally think it'll get better!
